Commitment to Accessibility

At Angsana Consulting, we are committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disability. We want all visitors to have an inclusive, barrier-free experience when accessing our digital content and services.

Standards and Legal Framework

This website aims to comply with recognised accessibility standards and legal frameworks in Australia and New Zealand, including:

Australia:
- Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) — prohibits discrimination based on disability, including access to online services.
- Australian Government Digital Service Standard — requires public websites to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
- AS EN 301 549:2020 — accessibility requirements for ICT products and services.
New Zealand:
- Human Rights Act 1993 — prohibits disability discrimination in access to goods and services.
- New Zealand Government Web Standards (March 2025 update) — align with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, moving towards WCAG 2.2.

We use WCAG 2.1 AA as the primary reference for accessibility across our site.

Declaration of Partial Compliance

Angsana Consulting declares partial compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
This means that while the website has been designed with accessibility in mind and meets many key success criteria, there are known areas that may not yet fully conform to all Level AA requirements.

Known issues include:

Some images may lack complete or optimised alternative (alt) text.
Certain embedded content or third-party plug-ins may not be fully accessible by screen readers.
Some PDF documents are not yet tagged for accessibility.
Dynamic content or interactive elements (e.g. forms, hover effects) may not behave consistently with assistive technologies.

We are actively working to address these areas as part of our ongoing improvement program.

How Accessible This Website Is

You should be able to:

Adjust colours, contrast, and text size.
Zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen.
Navigate most of the site using a keyboard, switch, or speech recognition software.
Access content using screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver.

We are reviewing and updating the site to progressively achieve full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, and monitoring changes for WCAG 2.2.

Continuous improvement

To maintain and improve accessibility, we:

Conduct periodic accessibility audits (automated and manual)
Train our web and content teams on inclusive design
Integrate accessibility into new content, features, and procurement processes
Keep up to date with evolving accessibility standards and good practice

Limitations and Third-Party Content

While we aim for full accessibility, some third-party content, plug-ins, or embedded media may not yet meet our standards. We encourage providers to follow accessibility guidelines and provide accessible alternatives where possible.
